PLANNING COMMITTEE

Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held at 7.00pm on Thursday, 20 November 2003 at The Institute. Councillor Warrick, Chairman, presided over Councillors Blessett, Shinkins and the clerk. Cllr Stevens joined the meeting during Minute 047 ref: S03/1424. No members of the public were present.

044    APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE were received and the reason accepted from Cllr Griffiths due to illness and also from Cllr Anderson (ex-officio member).

The minutes of the meeting held on 23 October 2003, having previously been circulated, were approved as a true and correct record and signed by the Chairman.

PLANNING APPLICATIONS BEFORE THE COMMITTEE

It was proposed by Cllr Warrick, seconded by Cllr Blessett and unanimously resolved to make no objections to the following application under the Committee’s delegated powers:

It was proposed by Cllr Warrick, seconded by Cllr Blessett and unanimously agreed to put forward the following recommendations to the Council meeting to be held on 27 November 2003:

048    REPORT OF THE OUTCOME OF EARLIER APPLICATIONS

The following decisions were reported which unless otherwise indicated were in accordance with the Parish Council’s previously recorded observation:

049    LCC DRAFT FIRE & RESCUE INTEGRATED RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN

    The Council delegated the response to this document to the Planning Committee at the meeting on 30 October 2003. This had been duly studied by members. It was proposed by Cllr Warrick, seconded by Cllr Stevens and unanimously agreed to submit the following response:

Deeping St James Parish Council is pleased to note that there is an emphasis on prevention but is concerned that this does not result in a diminution of fire fighting capacity within the county, although recognising that there appears to be no risk to the Deepings provision.
